We are putting on this race to help fundraise for our school. The funds from this race will help support both Weed High School, and Weed Elementary School. Our schools have gone through budget cuts and putting on this race will help benefit the students of Weed, California, augmenting their educational experience. We hope it will become well known race and draw in people from all over the state of California, perhaps even the whole United States. The Weed High School English class has been dilegently working and planning for this big event and it has been a great learning experience. We plan for this race to become an annual event that will be around for generations to come. NOTE: PLEASE REGISTER FOR THE RUN BY FRIDAY MAY 11TH TO GUARANTEE YOUR TEE SHIRT WILL BE READY ON RACE DAY. PICK UP FOR TEE SHIRTS AND RUNNER'S BAGS WILL BE ON FRIDAY MAY 18TH AT WEED HIGH SCHOOL FROM 4PM TO 8PM AND AGAIN ON SATURDAY MAY 19TH AT 6:30AM TO 7:15AM FOR THE HALF MARATHONERS, FOR THE 5K AND 10K RUNNER'S BAGS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PICK UP 10 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE START OF THOSE RACES.
